Bespoke Floral Handfasting Cord - Custom Crafted For You

Handfasting is an ancient Celtic ritual representing the spiritual union of a couple. This tradition involves the binding of the couples hands to symbolize the binding of their hearts and lives. Traditonally, this union lasted for “a year and a day”, at which point the couple could stay together and renew their vows or go their own ways without ill will.

 Today, this ritual is often incorporated into the legal wedding ceremony, much like unity candles or sand jars!

This listing is for a custom handfasting cord, with charms. Your cord will be fashioned of 9 cotton ropes in your choice of color, with a green silky vine ribbon woven throughout and silk roses in your choice of color(s) hand stitched on. Please let me know in the personalization options what you would like the main cord color to be (in the sample picture, it is moldavite), what color roses you would like attached (you can choose multiple color roses!) and what charm(s) you would like! *Extra roses is an option if you would like 3 roses at each spot that a rose is stitched on (as opposed to one, like the example cord), simply select this option on our drop down menu! This cord measures 6 feet long and approximately 3/4 inch wide when complete. Each end will be clamped to keep your special piece from fraying and have your choice of dangle or charm on the ends!

 My heart goes into the making of my handfasting cords, these are one of my heart and soul items (I put love and positive energy into all my items but these get some extra love). Each braid is woven with the deepest intention for a happy, lifelong union for the couple using my cord. 💜💜💜
